Central Group Announces Appointment of Chairman, Vice Chairmen, and New Board of Directors, Reinforcing Its Growth Strategy Anchored in Strong Governance Principles and Sustainability

Bangkok — Central Group, Thailand's leading retail and service conglomerate with a business footprint spanning Southeast Asia and Europe, has announced the appointment of its new Board of Directors. The new appointments came into effect from 1 January 2026, following the completion of the outgoing Board's term on 31 December 2025.
This transition aims to further strengthen corporate governance, enhance the effectiveness of organizational oversight, and support the Group’s long-term strategic direction.
Following the completion of the shareholder appointment process, the newly appointed Board convened a special meeting and passed resolutions to appoint the Chairman and Vice Chairmen as follows:

In addition, the Board resolved to appoint Mr. Suthikiati Chirathivat as Honorary Chairman.
During the tenure of Mr. Suthichai Chirathivat, Chairman, and Mr. Suthikiati Chirathivat, Vice Chairman, together with all members of the outgoing Board of Directors, they played a significant role in establishing a solid foundation for Central Group. Their contributions included the establishment of robust management systems, the expansion of the Group’s businesses beyond Thailand, and the elevation of Thailand’s retail industry standards to achieve international recognition. Profiles of the New Leadership
Prof. Emeritus Dr. Suthiphand Chirathivat, Chairman of Central Group, is a distinguished international business executive and economist with expertise in macroeconomics, trade, finance, regional economic integration, and public policy. His mastery is instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of large-scale business groups operating across Asia and Europe.
Mrs. Yuwadee Chirathivat, Vice Chairman, has a long track record in the global retail industry, with well-established proficiency in department store management, brand building, and the creation of customer experiences across markets. She has consistently led the initiation and advancement of new concepts across Central Group’s department store businesses and previously served as the first female President of the Intercontinental Group of Department Stores (IGDS).
Mr. Kobchai Chirathivat, Vice Chairman, brings comprehensive background in investment, corporate structuring, commercial real estate, and corporate governance, and has served on the boards of several listed companies, giving him in-depth understanding in-depth understanding of organizational oversight and capability within large organizations.
