“Vittorio” Reveals Vision of a New Generation of Consumer

Mr.Vittorio Radice, Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of la Rinascente interviewed with Thai and international media on oversea businesses of Central Group including La Rinascente, Illum, the design supermarket, the expansion plan in the future and Milan Expo.

Mr. Vittorio Radice presented the idea of retailbusiness that the most important thing is “change” as everything has changed everyday and nowadays customers have greater knowledge than before. Thus, they know better of what they want which make them be more confident to be themselves. To serve customers retail businesses need to show their unique characters then the customers will choose the one that suit them. One of the good examples of change is luxury goods that used to be only for royal family but now when customers have their personality with more confident that makes them want to possess more luxury items.

Moreover, he revealed that La Rinascente is ready for the upcoming Expo Milano 2015 to be held from May 1-October 31, by becoming a destination for dining and shopping which attracting tourist from all over the world. And we will also prepare special food and drinks to welcome which related to sustainability of resources. Additionally, menus of dishes will prepare freshly with ‘sustainability of the food supply as well as energy saving forever’ concept.
