For over six decades, the Central Department Store has been synonymous with excellence in luxury shopping, and is widely acknowledged as Thailand’s most trusted and recognized retail brand. Central is a longtime favorite among affluent Thai shoppers, as well as discerning tourists and expatriates.
With its eighteen branches nationwide, Central is by far the country’s largest department store chain. The store is planning branch openings in Southeast Asia, starting with Jakarta, Indonesia in 2014.

Launched in 1989, ZEN Lifestyle Trend Megastore quickly became a shopping sensation that captured the imagination of both tourists and locals alike, making it one of the most iconic landmarks of downtown Bangkok. Robinson Department Store
Thailand’s largest department store brand with 34 branches nationwide
Robinson Department Store Public Company Limited is the largest department store in terms of number of stores in Thailand, operating under the name of “Robinson Department Store” since 1977. It was the first department store to be listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
As of 2014, Robinson Department Store operated 34 branches nationwide, including 10 branches in Bangkok and its vicinities, and 24 branches in other provinces. Robinson launched the Bangkok flagship store on Rama 9 road in 2011

Supersports is the flagship brand of Central Group’s sporting goods retailer. It is the No.1 sporting goods company in Thailand, particularly in the areas of rackets, golf, and exercise equipment, as well as for running and soccer. Supersports operates three main business segments including retail sporting goods, exclusive distribution networks, and an exclusive licensing business. Supersports stores, FIT Sports Shop, Go Sports, Supersports Outlet, New Balance Shop, Crocs Shop and Skechers Shop are the main retail outlets. The company also markets leading brands throughout the country, including Crocs, K-Swiss, New Balance, Wilson and Skechers, as well as operates licenses with production rights for the Fila and Umbro brands.

A luxurious Scandinavian department store
Established since 1891, ILLUM has been in the hub of Copenhagen’s best shopping area for more than 120 years. The department store of over 20,000 square metres is the Danish quintessence of superior luxury and service. It targets the medium/high-end market and commodities focalising on fashion, beauty, home and design with about 120 Scandinavian and international brands. The legendary name of ILLUM can attract over 6 million customers a year.
In 2013, ILLUM was acquired by la Rinascente. It will advance Central Group’s definition of “a real collection of stores” with its prominent heritage.
The Largest Department Store in Continental Europe
KaDeWe, found in 1907, operates more than 60,000 square metres of selling space on its 8 floors. The store is located in one of Berlin’s most popular shopping areas in Tauentzienstrasse, and visited by up to 180,000 customers from around the world every day. At KaDeWe, customers are presented with over 380,000 desirable goods. Its famous ‘Luxury Boulevard’ offers the finest brands including Chanel, Chloé, Fendi, Gucci, Hermès, Tod’s, Bvlgari, Chopard, Rolex, and Tiffany&Co.
KaDeWe also caters for a wide range of needs with luxurious beauty rooms and lounges, a wedding and gift service, a hotel and home service, tailor, hairdressers, buggy rental and a bureau de change. The Wintergarten on the 7th floor offers an excellent cuisine together with the most breathtaking view across Berlin.
In 2015, Central Group acquired The KaDeWe Group, which owns KaDeWe, Oberpollinger, and Alsterhaus, from SIGNA, and has become the European retail leader.
Munich’s Most Prestigious Department Store
Located on the most popular shopping street in Germany – Neuhauser Strasse, Oberpollinger was opened in Munich in 1905 by the Emden & Soehne family. The original store brought true luxury to the city. Oberpollinger has more than 35,000 square metres of selling space on 7 floors. The store has been fully refurbished to reach the premium standard of KaDeWe Group in 2008. Then, it was awarded with the special price “Store of the Year 2009” by the German Retail Federation, which described Oberpollinger as “a much-admired shopping haven, and one of the best and most modern department stores in Europe.”
Hamburg’s Most Prestigious Department Store
Alsterhaus was originally opened by Oscar Tietz in 1897. Then, in 1912, the store was moved into its present location at the Jungfernstieg, an urban promenade in Hamburg, in front of the beautiful Lake Binnenalster. Alsterhaus was renovated in 2003 under the management of Karstadt AG. The store of 24,000 square metres had building work completed in the beauty and accessories departments. Alsterhaus now breathtakingly combines traditional architecture with modern interior design and provides visitors with a unique shopping experience and top international luxury designs.
