Central Group Vietnam (CGVN) was established in Vietnam in July 2011 and is part of leading Asian retail and property group, Central Group. The company’s presence in Vietnam spans numerous industries including electrical, hypermarkets/supermarkets, department stores, sports, fashion and e-commerce and presently employs over 15,000 employees nationwide. The Group has built an extensive network of local partners that has seen it enter into strategic partnerships with electrical store Nguyen Kim Trading (2015) and northern rural supermarket chain Lanchi Mart (2015). In 2016, the company acquired national supermarket chain Big C; and leading online fashion retailer Zalora. In addition to this, the company represents a diverse portfolio of retail brands nationally. In May 2017, ZALORA.vn was renamed ROBINS.vn. The 2 brands have teamed up in order to maximize the strengths of both brands for the most enjoyable consumer shopping moments.

The Group presently operates over 179 stores nationwide, including 54 super/hypermarkets, 43 electronics stores, 4 department stores and concept stores, 13 sport stores, 64 fashion and sport brand stores, 1 the convenient solution for business and educational supplies store, 2 E-commerce sites. The Fashion Group portfolio includes Robins department store, Super Sports – sports specialist and markets under licence a suite of well-known retail brands including Marks and Spencer fashion stores and Komonoya – a Japanese value-for-money product store.
